The only series I have read was Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs, and Hannibal by Thomas Harris. The last book I read before The Given was Velocity by Dean Koontz. It was another book my wife recommended, turned out to be a good read as well. MJ, Sometimes the thought of reading a book meant for young adults is a bit of a turnoff for me. I like to pick them up from time to time because I can typically read them on one 3-4 hour sitting. I'm glad I read this one, It turned out to be very entertaining. -Walt Doc,

I was apprehensive at beginning to read this book as I regarded it more as homework than enjoyable reading.
