Legend of the Seeker

Screen Capture of Legend of the Seeker on Hulu

Ever since I was young, I’ve always enjoyed television shows and movies that revolved around magic and wizardry. I can remember seeing a movie called “Legend” when I was young. This movie starred Tom Cruise and focused on him fighting a demon to save the word from darkness.

Since then I’ve always been drawn to those types of movies and shows. Several years back I had a close friend that made sure he always caught the latest episode of Hercules and Xena. I would make a point to drop by his house before going out for the night to keep up with the show.

The trend continued as I got older and as a result I made sure to see Merlin, Lord of the Rings, and the Harry Potter lineup. While having never read the books, I immediately became hooked to seeing them on TV.

A couple of weeks ago I had a couple of things to do on a Saturday morning and had plans to meet with my in-laws for an annual Christmas-time dinner. I had a couple of hours to kill in between, so I grabbed a cigar logged on to Hulu to see what was new.

I started paging through the featured items on the front page and saw that a show entitled “Legend of the Seeker” was available for viewing. Being a sucker for that type of show, I got the player rolling and started the season.

Over the next couple of days I managed to watch all seven episodes available and was enjoying the show very much. There is a lot of overacting at times, as well as a couple of things that seem far fetched, even for a show revolving around magic.

After a long pause, episode eight has become available for viewing. Catching up on the latest episode was just as enjoyable as the seven before it. While the show looks low-budget and kind of hokey at times, I like it.

If you are like me and enjoy these types of shows, check out the Legend of the Seeker on HuluOpens in a new tab.. It appears that the episodes will not be expiring anytime soon, so check it out when you get a little free time.

  1. Does Porn count as a Genre? lol

    I love sci-fi/horror movies.

Next up would be magic/wizard flicks.

  2. I’m with you Walt! I even liked the short lived Covington Cross…if I’m remembering the name right.
Krull, Beastmaster, Connan, Clash of the titans….CLASSICS!!!
