I have. Old country song: Deanna Carter – Strawberry Wine. It came out when I was in college and reminds me of a girl I met in Canada who I fell head over heels for. Didn’t work out (since she was in Canada), but it still puts a smile on my face. Thinking about it just did too. Great topic.

Wow, where to begin, I’ve been a musician for a really long time and I am constantly reminded of someone or something in my past. Especially when my guitar students bring music I haven’t heard in ages. Perpetual Nostalgia!

I have and it mostly brings a smile to my face. I’m glad too because if I hadn’t of heard the song in the first place, that memory might have been gone forever!

Yes – all too often good and bad memories. The greatest invention of the last few years– ipod, keeps me filled with lots of good and bad ones, as well as helps develop new memories.
The mind responds to multiple sensations. If you try to learn something and involve more senses, then you will learn something far easier — write, listen, read, smell, even taste. So, invoke good memories.

I agree with Carlos. Annie Lennox Why? reminds me of when my mom died (I kept playing that song over and over again in 1992).

And U2′s the Joshua Tree reminded me of a girl I had a crush on back in University.

Great topic!! Music has played a big role in my life. The last track that stopped me in my tracks and me go into a “Remember When” mode was GnR’s November Rain. I was 15 when the album came out in 1991..Sept. 17th to be exact. At the time, I was good friends with a girl and we went to some rally at City Hall and I had my Sony Discman…remember those? LOL. We sat there listening to Use your Illusione 1 and 2 while the rally went on and the following day I asked her out and we’ve been together since. When I listened to that track the other day, I was amazed that the song is 18 years old!!!! Sometimes listening to certain music makes me realized how friggin’ old I am.
