Yesterday I had the pleasure of shooting my very first IDPA Match. The match was held at Lower Providence Rod and Gun Club and consisted of eight stages. Unlike my USPSA Match Video, I decided to leave in a lot of the material I usually cut out. By doing this, you’ll hear the Safety Officer answer my questions and, hopefully, this will give you a feel for what your first IDPA Match might be like.
Lower Providence IDPA – July 28, 2012 – Stage 4
As a new shooter, I was asked not to wear a cover garment. I was happy to comply, although I do think it gave me a bit of an advantage (I shoot USPSA pretty regularly and probably could have handled a cover garment). One thing that might be noteworthy is that I shot this match with a brand new gun. I picked up a Glock 19 the day before (to be used for Concealed Carry) and was a little worried about taking it to a match without first test firing it. I’m happy to report that it ran without issue.

Being new to IDPA, I’d love some feedback on my shooting.
I know that is tough without my scores being available,
but feedback on my technique would be helpful
