Macallan 12 Year Single Malt ScotchOn a couple of occasions every week, I like to treat myself with a cigar while I work on this site as well as Stogie Review. It helps me unwind a bit and acts as a reward for putting forth a set amount of time to make sure certain things come about.

That cigar, or treat, is normally paired with a glass of water or iced tea. Every once in a while I like to throw together a cigar and adult beverage to sweeten the pot. As I write this I just so happen to be sipping on some scotch while puffing away on a cigar.

I find that I enjoy Scotch with a more full flavored smoke while I enjoy Bourbon with something with a little less body and flavor. Beer seems to be kind of universal with the exception of a Maduro cigar and Stout, that pairing is excellent.

Some of my earlier posts were beer reviews, and there will be more in the future. When I started thinking about the direction I wanted to go with this blog, months before it was created, I had plans on mixing it up with different types of video reviews. Rather than beer reviews, I’ll leave those to Mike, I’m going to try and do some Scotch, Bourbon, and Rum reviews which will include both text and video. I’m still very wet behind the ears when it comes to libations, so bear with me as I progress through my first few reviews.

What libation do you like to enjoy
Be it with, or without, cigars?
