Shooting The Breeze Podcast: Episode 16

Oliva Serie V No 4 and Smith and Wesson Bodyguard - 1

In last weeks episode, in an effort to save a little time, I compacted the show a bit by only covering two pieces of news and two pieces of featured content. After watching the episode back, I found that I liked the way the show flowed with a little less content jammed into each segment.

As a result, I shortened both the news and featured content once again this week. This time it made those segments feel too short, so I padded the end of the show a bit with extra talk. Going forward, I’ll play with the number of items in each segment to try to dial in the overall time of the show.

  1. Great show Walt my son and I are getting into watching your show every Saturday morning for some weird reason you voice keeps him sitting still long enough for me to feed him. I’m kind of worried. haha Love the Series V great stick. Happy Thanksgiving

    1. Corey,
Thanks for checking out the episode. I wish my voice had the same effect on my daughter.

Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving

  2. Hi Walt, interesting as always,I remember a few years ago when I was looking at a 380,the cost of ammo back then was a little expensive,I did not buy it. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

    1. If you priced .380 ACP a few years ago, you should see it now. It is the one and only thing I dislike about my Bodyguard, it is expensive to shoot.

Thanks for watching the episode and leaving a comment

  3. Good video Walt.

Thanks for showing the sights snagging in the holster, I was looking at getting the same holster for my lcp. If I do and I see the same issue maybe I will just take the scissors to that part of the holster.

Here is a video of some pocket holsters from hickok45:

    1. Nick,
I think you’ll probably be okay with your LCP because the rear sight isn’t as large and sharp as those on the Bodyguard.

Thanks for the link to Hickok45. I’m subscribed to his videos on Youtube but its tough to keep track of what is new (I wish I could just subscribe via RSS). I just watched the video from start to finish and thought it was a great piece of information on pocket carry.

Thanks for checking out the episode and leaving a comment

  4. Hey Walt,

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and time well spent with your family. Great episode, you’re moving right along with these podcast videos. I will throw you a plug every chance I get on my YouTube channel. Interesting about that holster and how it snags on the rear sights. Thanks for pointing that out, but I am thinkng you could find a better pocket holster for the pistol. Maybe take it to your next Gun show and try out a few pocket holsters.

Again great show and thanks for sharing your thoughts and a little of the news with us.

    1. Blaze,
Thanks for the well wishes, Thanksgiving was a little busy but it was well spent with family.

I’ve been working on finding a rhythm with the recording and I look forward to sharing it every week. I’m hoping I can keep a long streak of producing videos week after week.

Thanks for the advice and for checking out the episode. Any plugs that you throw me are greatly appreciated. You do some excellent videos and it always amazes me when you break out a new knife to display (I was in awe at all of the Delica 4’s you had lined up)

      Thanks for the support.
