When it comes to Motorcycles, I tend to be a Mostly Stock kind of guy. I like my 2022 Yamaha MT-09 SP the way it is – with some minor exceptions. One of those minor exceptions comes in the form of Tank Grips / Tank Pads. But probably not for the reason you may think…

Despite being a proud owner of a wheelie monster of a machine, I don’t push my motorcycle to its limits. In the grand scheme of things, my new TechSpec Tank Grips aren’t really there to add friction for high-performance riding. I bought them more to protect the paint from my Riding Pants, Riding Jacket, and Belt Buckle.
