During my Shooting The Breeze Podcast – Episode 12 I made mention of shooting an informal pistol match at Oley Valley Fish & Game. While shooting the match I brought along my Contour HD Body Mounted Camera to record the action. I was a bit slow at getting the footage uploaded, but I suppose it is better late than never.
The match was designed to be shot as a 2 Gun event but those interesting in shooting one gun were welcome as well. I opted to shoot only pistol (I don;t have a rifle that would have been sufficient). I had a great time and look forward to shooting the next one.
I didn’t do as well as I would have liked but I had the opportunity to shoot in positions that were new to me (Weak Hand Only, Strong Hand Only, Prone, and Standing while Supported). Despite only having one pit for pistol, the match director did a great job of mixing things up on the fly so that we had a total of four stages to shoot.
