On June 1st (2013) I was attending a USPSA Match at Lower Providence Rod & Gun Club. It started out like any other match I’ve shot there. I arrived early, helped with setup, chatted with my fellow shooters, went through squadding, and finally prepared to shoot.
This is where the match went from the norm to frightening. A shooter on my squad experienced an accidental discharge (there was some sort of mechanical failure during the Load & Make Ready Command). Within seconds, the shooter was on the ground and loosing blood from their leg.
