Shooting The Breeze Podcast: Episode 14

Humo Jaguar 2011 and Smith and Wesson MP9 - 1

According to Murphy’s Law, anything that can go wrong will go wrong. That certainly was the case yesterday when I was driving home from work with plans to get right on to producing this episode. Even though things didn’t go according to plan, I was able to wrap up the podcast before it became too late.

This episode runs close to an hour and ten minutes. In addition to the two video formats available, an audio only version can be streamed or download at the bottom of this post.

Once you are finished with the episode, join in on the discussion and throw some of your thoughts into the comments section. If you aren’t into commenting, use the social share buttons at the bottom of this post to help spread the word about this podcast.

Cigar Notes:
The Humo Jaguar gets it name from a cigar blending competition held at an annual Cigar Festival in Honduras. In 2011, the blend put together by Nestor Miranda won and was branded Humo Jaguar. It is made up of Honduran Fillers, a binder from Talanga (Honduras), and an Oscuro Wrapper from Honduras.

In this episode I take a look at video recorded from a USPSA match shot at Lower providence Rod & Gun Club. After watching the footage, I talk about how I addressed the stage and what I would have done differently if shooting the stage a second time.

  1. Feedback- Walt, enjoy the show but don’t like the size of your files. Fills up my 8g ipod in a hurry. Makes me have to manage my space too often. I like to listen only and prefer audio only podcasts for that reason and that I can be doing other things like running, cycling, etc. without needing to watch.

    1. Thanks for the feedback. If you would like audio only, you’ll find a player below the video to stream an MP3. If you would like to download the MP3 to place on your iPod, right click the link above the audio player and do a save as

  2. Happy you are enjoying the Delica 4, looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the Native 4. It should be a more robust knife in general. Also, great job on your mini knife review. Telling it from the heart always sounds best.

Thanks for the update on Emily and the gun in Washington.

    1. I’ve been carrying the Native 4 since Tuesday. It is a great knife but after spending a month with the Delica, it is tough to get used to the new weight and feel of the Native 4.

Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
