I’m a little late getting this journal entry posted, as I’m writing this on Sunday Night, but the day went pretty well. I woke up early and decided to make the most of the morning and head over to the gym. I didn’t have a lot of time to spend working out so I did some cardio and was out the door 45 minutes later. Despite the workout being short, I burned far more calories in that session than I would have lying in bed listening to the rain.
I did my usual elliptical workout, setting the machine for 30 minute of intervals at a 17 resistance. After about 15 minutes the flood gates opened up and sweat gushed from my pores. To wrap up the session I headed over to the rowing machine. I have a love / hate relationship with this machine and kept it short and sweet, rowing 1,200 meters.
My diet yesterday wasn’t all that great. We went out for breakfast (Creamed Chipped Beef over Toast is my guilty pleasure when it comes to diner breakfast foods) and I found myself snacking on mini-nilla wafers in the evening. I’m still learning how to consume a proper ratio of Protein, Carbs, and Fat. Despite some fantastic Kirkland Pork Chops (77 Grams of Protein) for dinner, I only came in at 186 grams or 26% of my Protein goal. Carbohydrates were 36% at 264 grams and Fats were 26% at 123 grams. Even though my macros were lopsided, I came in under my calorie goal by around 500.

Monday morning commute. Motorcycle in the garage, rain in the forecast for the rest of the week, so I'm getting miles in while I can. And somewhere between pulling out of the driveway and hitting the...
