Earlier this week I posted a video of My First Pistol – Beretta Model 70S in .380. It was intended to be something of interest to breath a bit of life back into my blog. After all of the positive feedback I received in the comment section, as well as on Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube, I decided to strike while the iron is hot and post another gun related video.
This time around I talk about my First Range Gun, a Smith & Wesson M&P in 9mm. I purchased this particular pistol because I was very interested in getting in to competative shooting. In addition, the full size gun would be much more comfortable to shoot than my compact Beretta Model 70S, not to mention ammunition cost is considerably lower.
In the video I explain the process of selecting this particular model over a comparable Glock and Springfield XD. I also discuss some issues I had with rust on the slide and how pleasant Smith & Wesson customer service was to work with. The video runs about twenty-two minutes and flows much like my previous gun video.
