My last blog post on Weight Loss was done back on November 15th. I had reached a breaking point and was sick and tired of closely watching the scale. Seeing little movement, or movement in the wrong direction, was maddening. I decided it was best for me if I simple ignored the scale and focused on general fitness and the way I felt.
It was a decent plan, however, the lack of checks and balances lead to a problem down the line. As the cold weather set in and the days become shorter, I spent less and less time doing cardio. In fact, I had less time for the gym in general and decided to change gears.
A lot has happened in the past two months and listing it all will just come off as an endless supply of excuses. The bottom line is that my new shirts (the ones I was so proud to easily fit into) are fitting a bit snug these days and it is time for a reboot.
I don’t know how frequently I’ll be posting about the reboot and what I’ve got going on. I don’t want it to become mundane like it did in October (daily updates felt like I was posting the same thing every day with little to show for it).
Going forward I’m going to be using the Wendler 5/3/1 Boring but Big Template (I’m actually going to be limiting calories on the program – which is not advised) and trying to blend in a little yoga for flexibility (I’m having some serious trouble sleeping due to back pain and I’m hoping the added flexibility helps).

Over the weekend, I was Rear-Ended on my Motorcycle. As far as Motorcycle Accidents are concerned, this was a best-case scenario. My 2022 Yamaha MT-09 is banged up, but I walked away virtually...
